To respond to the annual Earth Day (22 April), Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Office, CUHK Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change and SDSN Hong Kong will organize a series of activities related to the environment and sustainability development, acting collectively to protect the planet’s health and future.

Extension of ‘Beginning a New Decade: Art for a Sustainable Future’ until 1 April 2025 This exhibition showcases artworks by 11 artists from Hong Kong. These artworks explore the environmental challenges at the nexus of art and climate change. Each artwork is a heartfelt response to the beauty of the natural world and conveys the urgent and complex environmental challenges we face. It invites us to reflect on our own actions and responsibilities in protecting our planet, and to recognize that we each have a role to play. By fostering a deeper understanding of the climate issues affecting us all, these works encourage us to join hands and collaboratively shape a sustainable future for ourselves and for generations to come. |

Environment and Conservation Fund The Easy Climate-Friendly Diet ── CY Lam’s Webinar on Climate and Diet
Food and Climate may seem distant from each other, but in reality, they are closely interconnected, shaping our world. CY Lam will share insights on how our consumption and dietary habits impact the climate and guide us in reflecting on how climate change, in turn, influences our food choices. CUHK Participates in Earth Hour 2025 The WWF-Hong Kong ‘Earth Hour 2025’ will be held on 22 March (Saturday) to raise public awareness of climate change and loss of nature. Similar to previous years, CUHK will participate in ‘Earth Hour’ by turning off non-essential and decorative floodlights on campus at 8:30 pm for one hour as a gesture of support.
