The underlying geology of Hong Kong existed long before the city itself was founded. This geology has been modified over time in response to changes in the weather and the natural environment, but has continued to accompany our existence and record the traces of human life. It is an irreplaceable treasure, which contains the stories of eras, cities, and people.

However, rapid urbanization has placed our home under threat.  The way we live our lives has changed its original appearance and created a new reality. Can our lives continue in the same space without overpowering and consuming our environment?  Can we coexist with this environment by displaying compassion and humility?

Intrigued by these questions, the artist hopes to explore the balance between human activities and the natural environment and to suggest how we can build an inclusive and respectful community. Through art, she invites the audience to rethink the future and our connections with the land, cities, and one another.
