The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s (CUHK) Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change (MoCC), established in 2013, holds the distinction of being the world’s first museum dedicated to climate change. The museum has welcomed 1.9 million visitors since establishment, and has become CUHK’s flagship outreach initiative for sustainability education and climate action. We are proud to present in collaboration with the CUHK–University of Exeter Joint Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE) the MoCC Anniversary Plenary Lecture, and are honoured to host Professor Tim Taylor, Professor of Environmental and Public Health Economics from the University of Exeter, UK, as our distinguished speaker. Professor Taylor is the Founding Director of the Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions, established by the University of Exeter in 2024. He is a leading interdisciplinary economist whose work focuses on the intersection of environmental sustainability, climate change, and public health policy. His research encompasses the economic valuation of health and environmental impacts, cost-benefit analysis of climate mitigation, and the study of climate-related diseases, energy poverty, and nature-based solutions. He currently leads the Exeter team in investigating the impact of climate change on environmental pathogens and public health. Professor Taylor has previously served as the Principal Investigator for the SMARTLINE project and acted as a consultant for influential organizations such as the European Commission, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations Environment Programme. His research has been widely published in prominent journals, including Ecological Economics, Climatic Change, and Public Health. |
